Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Patch Adds Ray-Tracing, Other Cross-Platform Improvements
Eidos Montreal rolled out an update to Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy today to make the space comic adventure look and run even better.
On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, the game now features ray tracing, which means more realistic lighting than ever before. You can enable this feature in the Video Settings menu.
On Xbox Series S, players have the option to drop the frame rate limitation to run between 30 and 60 fps. Eidos recommends this feature for users with VRR (variable refresh rate) monitors and warns that some frame rates may be unstable in certain areas.
Meanwhile, basic PlayStation 4 players can enjoy the overall performance. Eidos even adjusts the visor’s sensitivity to register input from older, older controllers.
The patch also adds the following improvement across all versions of the game:
- Save Rollback: A hidden Save Rollback feature has been added to allow users experiencing blocking issues to go back to the beginning of the chapter of their choice
- Overall stability improvement on all platforms
- Many stability improvements with Ray Tracing enabled
- General improvements to target markers
- Additional improvements to the world boundary
PC players can expect the patch as early as Friday, November 19. Furthermore, Eidos has also fixed some bugs, the full list of which you can check out on Reddit post by developer.
