Mazda Australia says supply across much of its range has improved since the third quarter of 2022, to the point where today’s orders will arrive by Christmas.
A spokesperson for the Japanese brand said auto expert that level of inventory and the upcoming supply of Mazda2, Mazda6, CX-3, CX-5, CX-8, CX-9 and BT-50 much better now.
“As expected, inventory levels for the majority of Mazda vehicles have been steadily improving since the third quarter of this year, with a limited number of vehicles available on the dealer network right now,” they said.

Mazda BT-50
“The arrival of customers on our most popular vehicle models – including Mazda 2, Mazda 6, CX-3, CX-8, CX-9, BT-50 and CX-5 – in December means that Customers who have ordered now can also receive their car by Christmas.
“Additionally, customers looking to wait until the new year can be confident that vehicle availability will continue to remain high for these models.

Mazda CX-5
Mazda also recently introduced a new strategy in which vehicles are brought directly from the docks to dealers for pre-delivery. The brand’s local CEO, Vinesh Bhindi, recently spoke with auto expert about it.
“We tested this with our logistics partners. Usually, what happens is when a ship arrives, we are all told to move the cars off the wharf straight into our holding yard, and that’s the focus,” said Mr Bhindi.
“But we are working on something – direct departure – so we can take the car right after it gets off the station straight to the dealer… if there is a customer name, the car can go straight from the arrival station. authorized dealer. agent for the agent to do their preparatory work.
According to Mr. Bhindi, this new off-the-shelf direct delivery strategy reduces customer wait times by 1-2 weeks, which can only be a good thing in today’s limited supply market.

Mazda CX-30
With supply improving in the last months of the year, Mazda Australia looks set to reach 90,000 vehicles delivered by 2022. As of the end of October, the Japanese marque has sold 79,669 units across its entire lineup, down 10.2% year-on-year in 2021 despite remaining firmly in second place overall in the manufacturer rankings.
Leading in terms of fees for Mazda in Australia is an always-popular model CX-5 (23,476 pieces, up 6.6%), the smaller CX-30 (12,252 units, up 8.1%) and BT-50 dual cab (2095 4×2 and 8511 4×4).
The new year will also see the launch of Mazda a running change for the CX-5 early 2023, one CX-8 slight upgrade in March, as well as brand new CX-60 Premium mid-size SUV in June was detailed earlier this week.
