Mekhtaal joins Knockmullen family
Mekhtaal (GB)son wins Group 1 of star sea (Ire), was transferred from France to join Gordon Doyle’s Knockmullen House Stud in Ireland.
The G1 Prix d’Isapahan and G2 Prix Hocquart winner for Al Shaqab Racing, the 10-year-old started his school career at Haras de Bouquetot before spending last season at the Haras du Grand Courgeon.
“Mekhtaal has come from France and I am very grateful to Al Shaqab for giving me a chance against him,” Doyle said.
“I’m really happy to have a Group 1 winner who is brilliant and popular star sea standing at Knockmullen. He is a senior racehorse and comes from a great line of dam. His smash Aiglonne was the group winner having bred four winners in the group or black type, and it’s the family of Group 1 winners Germance, Almutawakel (GB) and the White Muzzle champion (GB). And not a Silver Hawk mare, he was bred on a cross similar to the leading stallion Nathaniel (Ire).
Mekhtaal will stand by your side Silas Marner (Fr)Muhtathir’s only son (GB) is studying in Ireland.
