The new one Mitsubishi Outlander almost above us.
Mitsubishi has confirmed pricing for the 2022 Outlander SUV before it hits Australian shores in November 2021.
Plug-in hybrid version, as detailed in Price story and specs herewill arrive in Australian dealers from 15 August.
UPDATE, 5/22/2017 – A spokesperson for Mitsubishi Australia confirmed the Outlander range received a $1000 price increase due to component shortages and increased supply chain costs. The new Outlander PHEV price remains the same.
This latest price increase follows the $500 price increase in May, as well as minor specification changes in February for MY22.5 due to ongoing semiconductor shortage.
Customers with existing orders are price protected and no specification changes have been made following minor changes in February.
Under the skin, the new model shares the bone with the new model Nissan X-Trail. In 4710mm Long, 1862mm wide, and 1745mm tall with a 2706mm wheelbase, the car is significantly larger than its predecessor.
It’s 51mm wider, 38mm taller and 15mm longer to be exact than before, with a 36mm longer wheelbase.
With a new platform comes new technology. Inside, there’s a new central airbag between the front seats to prevent flailing limbs in a side collision.
A full suite of driver aids will be offered, including forward and reverse AEB, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic assist, blind spot assist, surround view camera and attention monitor driver.
There’s also sway assist and downhill control, which works in tandem with Mitsubishi’s revised Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system to make the new Outlander more capable than the outgoing version. Predecessor.
Like before, the all-wheel drive system has brake-based torque transfer, but Mitsubishi says its new clutch system works faster than before. The Outlander will also be available with front-wheel drive.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter petrol engine and a CVT transmission with eight pre-programmed steps to mimic a torque converter.
Peak power is 135kW and the maximum torque is 245Nm. A more powerful plug-in hybrid variant will be released in the future, but no details are available yet.

Engine
The power of Mitsubishi Outlander 2022 comes from one 2.5 liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine with 135kW power and 245Nm of torque.
The standard transmission is a CVT with eight pre-programmed steps to mimic a conventional automatic.
All-wheel drive models feature a new version of the S-AWC system used on the current model, which applies brakes on individual wheels to pull the Outlander into line when you’re cornering urgent.
Mitsubishi says it works faster than before.

Size
Mitsubishi Outlander 2022 measured at 4710mm 1862mm long, wide, 1740mm tall, and have a 2706mm The standard long.
The car uses 20-inch alloy wheels 1745mm high.
The trunk is 800mm long and 1717mm long with the second row of seats folded.
Five-seater models have 485L space with a full-sized widget, extending to 1471L with the second row folded.
Seven-seat models have a space saver and a 478L with the second row seats in place. That expands to 1461L with them folded.
Service and Warranty
The Outlander is covered by a five-year/100,000 km warranty as standard, but that’s extended to 10 years 200,000 km if you get it covered by a Mitsubishi dealer network using the company’s limited-price service program.

Safety
The Mitsubishi Outlander 2022 has not been crash tested by ANCAP, but it will come with a full set of active safety features as standard across the range.
