Newsroom moved to Rancho San Miguel
The stallion is holding the stock Editor (War front–Playa Maya, by Arch), half-brother with son and successful champion Uncle Mo (Indian Charlie), will move to Rancho San Miguel in California for $3,500 guaranteed living next year. Most recently he stood at Anchor & Hope Farm in Maryland. His biggest ponies are 3-year-olds.
“If I were to compare the US stallion market to the US stock market, I would say we are buying an emerging stock at the optimal time for breeders in California,” said Tom Clark, The owner of Rancho San Miguel said. “The editor made a very good debut in his first batch of athletes, and has proven that he can dramatically improve his mares.
“The rare combination of masculine power in War front and Uncle Mo will certainly appeal to our state’s breeders who enjoy racing on a variety of surfaces and at various distances. “
Raised by the Playa Maya Syndicate, the 8-year-old has grown into the first Gulfstream winner for Coolmore and Todd Pletcher partners. Retiring in Maryland in 2018, the full brother of G1 runner-up Irish 1000 Guineas Can It Be Love (War frontDescendants of) is led by two-time bet winner Alottahope, as well as the staked My Thoughts.
Clark added, “Climax Stallions is holding an ownership stake in Editorial, so he will be well supported with the top mares, including from our farm, when we take the baton and navigate him through the next important phase of his stallion career.”
