No UPA alliance, Mamata Banerjee said after meeting Sharad Pawar
Mumbai:
Bengali minister Mamata Banerjee and nationalist Congress head Sharad Pawar met this afternoon to come up with what he called the “Pattern for 2024”. Mamata Banerjee said: “What is a UPA? There is no UPA”.
On a tweet about the meeting, Mr. Pawar – one of the key interlocutors of the opposition – posted: “Nice to meet Hon’ble CM of West Bengal Smt @MamataOfficial at my Mumbai residence. We discussed a variety of issues. We agreed when it was necessary to increase our collective efforts and commitment towards defending democratic values and ensuring the betterment of our people.”
Last night, Ms. Banerjee met Aaditya Thackeray and Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena. Her meeting with Uddhav Thackeray did not take place because the Minister had undergone an operation and was advised to isolate.
