OnePlus Pad is said to be in the works, expected to launch in India in the first half of 2022
The OnePlus Pad is said to be in the works and is largely expected to launch in the first half of next year. This will mark the company’s entry into the tablet segment. OnePlus has gone beyond smartphones and launched a range of smart TVs of its own, audio products like true wire stereo (TWS) earbuds and wireless headphones, and even has introduced the OnePlus Watch in the wearable segment. This new leak shows that OnePlus is now looking to unveil its first tablet. However, it is said to not appear alongside the OnePlus 10 series of smartphones, which are expected to be announced in early 2022.
91Mobiles in partnership with tipster Mukul Sharma has leaked that OnePlus The Pad tablet could launch in India in the first half of 2022. Sharma claims that China may have several models, but the Indian market is likely to receive only one of them. Also, the informant suggests that the OnePlus Pad may not launch alongside the OnePlus 10 series. The second one is expected to be announced in Q1 of next year, so the OnePlus Pad could launch after that.
Other than this, very little information has been leaked around the OnePlus Pad as of now. ONE recent report hinting that OnePlus could hold a physical launch event on January 5 during CES 2022 in Las Vegas. While it is yet to be confirmed which devices the Chinese tech giant will launch during the event, it is speculated that the OnePlus 10 series might be announced.
The OnePlus 10 series has appeared several times on the rumor mill, and both the OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro was Tip to equip the newly launched Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro is also expected to sport a 6.7-inch quad-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its processor is said to be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 memory. The phone is said to have an IP68 configuration and a 5,000mAh battery.
