Ken Kutaragi, PlayStation inventor and former CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, recently spoke with Bloomberg and give his opinion on the metaverse, the concept of a virtual virtual world that some tech companies have embroiled in an arms race to capitalize on it first. He’s also not a fan of wearing a VR headset to interact with the metaverse, saying, “The headset will isolate you from the real world, and I can’t agree with that. Headphones are simply annoying.”
Kutaragi is considered the “Father of PlayStation” when he convinced Sony to enter the video game market in the early 90s and design the original PlayStation.
