The year 2022 marks the 70th year of Queen Elizabeth’s reign. To celebrate the Queen’s platinum year, thousands of exclusive souvenirs including tea cups, vases and plates have been produced. However, a typo in souvenirs is now proving to be a costly mistake for everyone. As reported by the BBC, more than 10,000 cups, tea sets and plates were made with the words “Platinum Jubbly of Queen Elizabeth II” printed on them. If you pay attention, you will see that the word ‘jubilant’ is misspelled as ‘jubilant’. Souvenirs also feature illustrations of the Queen, surrounded by her coat of arms and the year of her accession – 1952 to present 2022.

As The Sun reported, the mistakenly printed souvenirs were made at a factory in China. They then approached the Wholesale Company – a stock trading company that had gone bankrupt – to sell off the mistakenly printed souvenirs as collectibles. “We were approached by a Chinese manufacturing company to see if there was a way the two companies could work together,” a notice on Wholesale Clearance’s website read. It further stated, “If you close your eyes, you can almost hear those immortal words from Britain’s beloved businessman resound through the halls of Nelson Mandela’s House. But in his usual manner. Only Fools, this is not exactly as expected!”
Wholesale Announcement also took to Twitter to announce, “Scroll Up Scroll Up Get Your Lovley Jubbly Souvenir Here.”

Immediately, the tweet attracted the attention of several Twitter users. One commented: “How can we get a few sets and not 10,800 in one job. I love Del Boy and am ready to celebrate Jubilee, I just don’t want to be called Plonker by my family because Let’s fill the house with mugs!”

Another wrote, “Because of my birthday I’ve been called the ‘silver jubilant kid’ for the past 44 years! If anyone can find a set of these please let me know, I’d rather is a ‘kidgy kid’ baby'”
A third tweet read, “Please, can I buy one? I really need this in my life.”
