Mr. Singh also inaugurated a 100 KW grid-connected rooftop solar power plant on this occasion. The Solar Power Plant Project has been established under a plan by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy to promote rooftop solar plants on government buildings. Since coming into operation, the solar plant has successfully saved 1,41,540 units, resulting in savings of more than Rs 14 lakh per year.
He said, appreciating the institute’s work on energy security, the Solar Power Plant is a testament to the Government’s commitment to promoting clean energy for a healthy environment.
The Union Minister also inaugurated an Outdoor gym at the institute, considering it an important initiative. He emphasized strengthening health and the immune system, especially during a pandemic.
He said: “Although the number of Government vaccinations has passed 100, the public’s sense of our own health will help us win the fight against covid-19 together. We are fully committed to public health,” he said.
