Roman Gonzalez is ready for Juan Estrada this Saturday in Glendale, Arizona
Via Jack Tien Nam: Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez is poised to beat WBC and Ring Magazine super flyweight champion Juan Francisco Estrada in their trio this Saturday night.
Estrada (43-3, 28 KOs) and Chocolatito (51-3, 41 KOs) will meet in a 12-round match live on DAZN at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, this Saturday, December 3.
Estrada beat Chocolatito a year ago by splitting 12 rounds in Dallas, Texas. Now, Roman will seek revenge for that loss on Saturday night to Estrada, who looks nothing like the boxer he faced in his last match against Argi Cortes last September.
In the ensemble, WBC flyweight champion Julio Cesar Martinez (18-2, 14 KOs) defended 2016 Olympic athlete Samuel Carmona (8-0.4 KOs) in a 12-round bout.
“As a fan of the game, I sit here with admiration for these two men, Juan Francisco Estrada and Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez, two modern-day greats who have given us two some of the greatest matches in the history of the sport,” said promoter Eddie Hearn.
“These two, Mexico vs Nicaragua, are ready to go, hopefully, but maybe not, again this Saturday to decide who wins the decisive match. This time each a great chance for both of you to grab all these belts. The same goes for the WBC Championship and the Ring Magainze,” Hearn said.
“If you think the second game was good, the third game is going to be even better because we prepared better than ever. I am in the best shape of my life.
“I am very happy and I will enjoy this with my family and people,” Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez said at his final press conference on Thursday for his triple match against Juan Francisco Estrada on Thursday. Saturday night this week.
“We did a good job in our training camp and you will see this on Saturday. I’m in good shape and I know it’s going to be a beautiful match for the fans.
“We have proven that lighter dumbbells have the qualities that fans want to see. I have a feeling this third battle will also become legendary, and many will remember this great battle as the first and second.
“There has been a lot of time. The pandemic stopped boxing. So I’m really happy,” said Juan Francisco Estrada. “Thank you for the opportunity. I am preparing very well.
“After the last battle, I only had two weeks to rest, and we continued camping at high altitude. I am very motivated and confident about this fight.”
“You are two very respectful people, but each has an opinion. How much do you want to win on Saturday night?” Hearn said.
“He and I are boxers talking inside the ring. On the outside, we respect each other, but on the inside we don’t respect each other,” Estrada said of Gonzalez. “We are colleges outside the ring. What we do, we do it in the ring and we show it in the ring.
“That’s why this will be the best battle among the three of them. The best will win, and I think everyone will see a good performance,” said Juan Estrada. “Also, not just this war. The bottom card also has great fights.
Hearn said: “As both of these legends have said, they predicted the best of all three on Saturday night. “Honestly to you, I would take 50% of one or two. If we have the best of the trio on Saturday, we’ll have one of the best in the history of the sport.
Hearn said: “I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you to Juan Estrada and thank you or Roman Gonzalez for continuing to give us great games and for pushing to fight. with the best in boxing,” Hearn said.
