Ron DeSantis Lashes Out at ‘Authoritarians’ After Demanding Vaccine ‘Crime’ Probe
Florida Government Ron DeSantis on Tuesday defended the creation of the Public Health Integrity Commission — a state alternative to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention — and in the process he has pushed deep into the territory. vaccine skeptic on friendly Fox News.
Laura Ingraham introduced DeSantis as someone who “fought relentlessly against the gag campaign of the bandages,” and mentioned how the governor earlier in the day also called a statewide grand jury investigation into what he called the “crime and misconduct” of vaccines.
DeSantis, who has strong decisions opposed by health experts, downplayed the effectiveness of vaccines and booster shots when asked about the “repressed” voices he currently defends.
“It doesn’t seem like the medical establishment ever wants to be honest with people about possible downsides,” DeSantis asserts, before criticizing universities that require students to have booster shots. “Any kind of cost-benefit analysis will show a benefit when they do the shot, as you alluded to – it doesn’t stop them from getting it or spreading it anyway. The benefit is very small.”
Ingraham, who did not object to DeSantis’ final position, cited critics who said the governor famously had “authoritarian ambitions” before asking, “What are your goals with this roundtable today?” now to bring down public health and safety officials?”
DeSantis, who was campaign sales Dr. Anthony Fauci, seems to oppose that view.
“Dictators are those who want to authorize [vaccine] About people. I’ve protected people from that happening and made sure Floridians can make their own choices,” he stated. “Ultimately, what we’re looking for is providing facts, providing accurate data, and providing accurate analysis.”
At an earlier roundtable discussion on Tuesday, DeSantis said of the CDC that “whatever they come up with, at this point, you just assume it’s not worth the print.”
