Ryan Garcia's father, Henry, suspects Devin Haney may have broken his jaw in last Saturday night's loss to Kingry in Brooklyn.

Henry said that Devin (31-1, 15 KOs) is still in New York. He thought he was in one of the state's hospitals, being treated for a jaw injury. Haney's jaw was severely swollen on the left side and blood was pouring from his mouth.
Henry felt Bill Haney should have stopped the fight in the seventh round to protect his son, Devin, who was dropped and beaten by Ryan during the inning. Things got worse for Haney after the seventh round, when he was beaten by Ryan from round eight to round twelve.
Henry Garcia: “The Haney era is over”

It could be a while before Haney returns to action and it will be difficult for him to bounce back from this loss. His confidence will be gone, and top fighters at 140 will use Ryan's victory as a blueprint to follow.
They will do exactly what Ryan did by sitting down and taking their shots, aiming for Haney's head and not letting him escape as he retreats. This fight could impact Haney's career similarly to Adrien Broner's loss to Marcos Maidana in 2013. Broner was never the same after that loss.
“Next year he will fight, but he won't fight someone by knockout,” Henry said of Haney. “He will fight someone who only has two or three knockouts. His chin is already suspect.”
When Haney returns, he may choose to defend against WBC mandatory Sandor Martin, who is not a great puncher. He has a 35% KO rate. It won't be long now with the top 15 contenders.
“I think his jaw was broken but they didn't say anything because why are they still in New York? Think about it,” Henry said of Haney.
“He's probably in some hospital. They are still in New York. What does that tell you? I don't care. The guy got hurt,” Henry said when told that Haney was seen sitting at a table with a birthday cake.
Bill posted a video saying they were still in New York but he didn't say why. That's the weird part. He's usually more detail-oriented, but not in this case.
Bill Haney Under Fire
“Psychologically, I'm telling you that book that he gave my son, he should read every page because he's one of the biggest scumbags I've ever known,” Henry said of Devin's father , Bill Haney.
“He's cruel, he's stupid, he's stupid. I don't know why they hate him. Maybe because he's tall, handsome and rich. That doesn't give him any reason to hate my son.
“He should have been worried about his son,” Henry said, referring to Bill Haney's need to worry about Devin. “He only worries about money and being behind the camera. The man is cruel.
“It's your responsibility as a father to do that. Not as a coach, but as a father,” Henry said when asked if Bill should have given up to save his son Devin from being beaten so badly by Ryan.
“Seventh round? That guy is out,” Henry said of Bill needing to stop the fight in the seventh round when Devin was severely injured by several hard punches from Ryan. “Ryan is now the ‘Face of Boxing’ because he once again proved everyone wrong.”
