See: Indian sweets shop serving Mithai for INR 50,000/kg, dare you try
There’s something about extremes that appeals to us, be it the unusual shapes and sizes of items like miniature treats or the luxury of overpriced yellow ice creams, treats and treats. The further away these objects are from reality, the more appealing they are. Many of us might not even be interested in trying these for ourselves, but we’re certainly intrigued by the brief attention these treats receive. India is not far behind when it comes to these extravagant creations. After all, we are a country obsessed with ‘jugaad’ culture and we managed to pull some strings and introduce to the world what could be one of the most expensive Indian mithais from before to now.
Get ready to have a sweet and sharp peach in your pocket, because this mithai costs a whopping INR 50,000 per kilo. Yes, you read that absolutely right. An Indian sweets shop has come up with this gilded treat served in the most royal way possible. A recent video by food blogger ‘turning into a foodie’ gives us a closer look at this mithai. The blogger explained that he received a pack of four pieces that cost INR 2000. He continued to take a bite of the mithai and gave an honest review, saying the sweetness was “Pretty normal”. The video has received 727k views, 82k likes and 753 comments. Look at it there:

One comment read “No thanks .. normal test h to kon khana chahega” (No thanks, why would anyone have it if it tasted normal), “Normal test h to kya matlab itne paise de k” (If it tastes normal, what is the point of paying off this amount) state the other amount.
Some of the other comments left on the video are hilarious. Most onlookers are shocked beyond belief and many of them are comparing how they can get a year-long supply of mithai for the same price. “Ek saal ke liye mitahi khaa sakte hain is rate main” (We can have mithai in a year at this rate) read one comment, while another read “Price se hi sugar badhega” (Just the price is enough to increase your sugar level). “Bhai etne mai. 50 kg Desi ghee ke laddoo le aaouga” (I will get 50kg desi ghee ladoos for the same price) and “50k halwai ghar aakar saal bhar mithai khilayega” (A halwai will come to your house and make mithai for you) expect at this price) are some other comments on the video.
Many also applaud the blogger for his honest review of mithai and its taste, “Dukandar ke samne usike policy ki bezzati” (You criticized his policy in front of the vendor) and “I like the way you give an honest review” read another comment. Many people also point out that the packaging looks equally expensive and that the box also adds to the final cost.
