SNL Rips Into Elon Musk for Claiming He Fixed Kanye’s Antisemitism
Seven-time musical guest Kanye West delivered some of the best performances in Saturday night live history. And Elon Musk awkwardly archived that once. But in this week’s “Weekend Update,” they’ve been reduced to just short stories.
“Kanye West’s protest tweets have been condemned by the Black Jewish Entertainment Coalition,” Michael Che reported, before interrupting and adding, “Just say Lenny Kravitz.”
“Following Kanye West’s unappreciated social media post, Elon Musk tweeted“Speaked to you today and expressed my concerns about his recent tweet, which I think he has enjoyed,” continued Colin Jost. “Well, that’s settled.” And while that line only brought a good laugh, he later added, “If there’s one thing we all believe in Elon, it’s successfully reading his emotional cues. another human being.”
Earlier in the segment, the couple covered several political stories, starting with Donald Trump unhinged 14-page letter in response to the committee on January 6.
“All right, Unabomber,” Jost said. “I don’t know if this is a coincidence, but Trump wrote the letter the same day the FDA confirmed the nation was experiencing a shortage of Adderall. And I just know from college experience, whenever I write a 14-page paper in one night, I take a worrying amount of Adderall.”
Che, meanwhile, delivered the newly released clip of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi saying that if Trump appeared in front of the Capitol during the uprising, she would “punch him out,” adding, “and I will go to jail, and I will be happy.”
“I assume it’s because she owns stocks in private prisons,” Che joked with a combination of laughter and groans.
And finally, Jost has roasted Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker for pull out the cop badge during his debate with Senator Raphael Warnock.
“I’m working with many police officers,” Walker said verbatim.
Jost joked: “It’s another sign that Herschel Walker has a brain problem.
