Sources say Los Angeles Dodgers, Chris Taylor will reach a deal
NS Los Angeles Dodgers is expected to reach an agreement with the flexible All-Star Chris Taylor shortly after Wednesday, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
Taylor, 31, won her first All-Star pick with the Dodgers in 2021, hitting 0.254 with 20 home runs, 73 RBIs and 13 steals. He views most of his playing time as a plug-in and second-base centre-forward, but he also sees action in other off-court positions as well as the short lane and third post.
He received a qualified offer of $18.4 million in one year, but he turned it down to enter as a freelance agent.
Taylor made an impact in the post-season, hitting three home runs in the previous 11-2 win Atlanta Braves in Game 5 of the National Championship Series. His total of 13 bases in the game set a post-season Dodgers franchise record.
