To strengthen passengers’ confidence in the safety of their planes, SpiceJet owners, their families, and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will be flying on the 737 MAX.
“On the first flight from Delhi to Gwalior, we will be flying with some of our people and members of my family will be flying tomorrow with Honorary Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia who will also flying on a 737 Max flight,” Ajay Singh told ANI.
Earlier, India’s regulator DGCA had grounded the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft after receiving serious complaints about the software, but SpiceJet’s CMD was delighted after the MAX returned to its fleet.
“The 737 Max is the safest aircraft in the world, a software fix was carried out over two and a half years ago and it has been under scrutiny by regulators worldwide for two years. This aircraft has flown for the past year in the United States, Europe, Australia and South America and different parts of the world,” said SpiceJet CMD.
