Stable DJ to match ‘Tuesday’ donations for new vocations
DJ Stable, LLC will match ‘Giveaway Tuesdays’ donations to the New Career Racehorse Adoption Program to celebrate the organization’s 30th anniversary. DJ Stable, whose Wonder Wheel (Into Mischief) won the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies on November 4, will match up to $30,000 to assist with aftercare. Giving Tuesday takes place on November 29 this year.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to partner with this amazing organization,” said Jonathan Green, general manager of DJ Stable. “Our horses have benefited from being placed in New Vocations aftercare programs, which prompted us to provide a matching fund for the first $30,000 contributed in the round. Donate on Tuesday. We hope others will follow our lead and donate to New Vocations.”
New Vocations was started in 1992 as a non-profit organization that relies almost exclusively on donations to carry out its mission to rehabilitate, retrain and rehabilitate retired racehorses. Over the past 30 years, the program has served more than 8,000 horses. New Vocations also raises funds every year during the Breeders’ Cup Pledge, this year raised more than 140,000 dollars. Wonder Wheel was one of the winning horses with a portion of her earnings going towards the new Position.
