Stone Talus Heart uses, boss strategy in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Talus is a recurring monster in the Legend of Zelda series and Kingdom Tears Bring them back in style. Whether it is Battle of Talus with its Bokoblin friends, or simply but deadly rock formationsThese enemies pack quite strong.
If you’ve taken down any of these giants, you might think you could run in and do the same for them all, but there are subtle differences you’ll want to know about. For example, Stone Talus can kill you when you bring it to the ground.
Additionally, Stone Talus has a nasty habit of trying to be Basarios and burying himself in the ground, ready to destroy Hyrule’s unexpected heroes.
Where to find Stone Talus in Tears of the Kingdom
Firstly rock formations you’ll come across likely the one in Crenel Hill Cave. This is just north of the Battle Talus that you’ll find on the Orstedd Bridge, but it’s a bit trickier.
Go inside the cave and go around outside, breaking all the mining points you can, but be careful not to get into the water. In that way, Talus lies…
How to defeat Stone Talus in Tears of the Kingdom
As with other Talus, a bow and a few good arrows are vital to your success. We’ve tried this with bombs and all sorts of throws, but that route is a quick way to the end of the Game. Check to make sure you have a solid supply of arrows before going in.
At the start, rush to jump on top of Talus’s head when it wakes up.
This is a great way to “cheat” the first damage from this boss. With a one-handed weapon equipped, you have time to make exactly 12 hits before you have to run and slide off its back. If you hang, it will throw you from its back, taking a quarter of its heart. This may not seem like much, but it is important that you have five hearts or less.
Sprint, making sure you dodge any bullets it hits you, then turn around and shoot the blue glowing stone on its back. Get ready for another frantic plunge, but be careful because when it hits the ground (that’s when it’s ready for you to climb up), the impact of its head hitting you if you jump the gun can be drop more than four of your hearts if you are wearing low level armor.
Again, sprint, jump and climb on top of it. This talus stands faster than its Battle Talus cousin—if you’re used to that fight—so make sure you’re quick. Again, you have time for 12 hits.
Depending on your weapon, repeat this once or twice before something else bites the dust.
How to use Talus Heart Glow Stone
Along with a bunch of gems (luminous stone, Amber, RubyAnd opal), Stone Talus drops one Noctilucent Heart Talus Stone. like 1 core build throughput and Stone Talus Heart, you can’t pick it up — what you can do is attach it to a weapon to give it a massive amount of damage.
Simply put, equip an unmerged weapon (we used a Zonaite Sword), use Fuse ability and create a Glowing stone talus hammer. Attack power has increased from 6 to 21, giving a huge number attack +21.
That’s huge, and considering you’re about to take down some poor Bokoblin no doubt with it, it really gives a whole new twist to the phrase “kill them with love”…
Note: You can fuse Talus Heart with your shield, but it doesn’t give you any stats, making it a very wasteful super rare item.
