Summary of changes to the curling team: Latest important moves for 2024-25
It's the halfway mark for Olympic curling as teams continue to tweak their lineups (or make wholesale changes) en route to Milan-Cortina for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
Here's a list of all the top changes you need to know.

GREAT TEAM
Line up: Scott Howard, Mat Camm, Jason Camm, Tim March
Detail: After Glenn Howard retired, Scott took over the reins full-time. The Camm brothers, formerly of Team Epping, have joined as the second David Mathers to also retire from competitive curling. Scott has skipped the team in the past, notably at the Ontario Tankard and Montana's Brier this season. Glenn will continue as the team's coach.
TEAM ST-GEORGES
Line up: Laurie St-Georges, Jamie Sinclair, Emily Riley, Lisa Weagle
Detail: Weagle returns to four-player curling with two-time defending women's champion Quebec after focusing on mixed doubles the past two seasons. She previously played with skip team Rachel Homan, winning the world championship in 2017, and has represented Canada twice at the Winter Olympics: once with Homan in 2018 and again with Jennifer Jones in 2022. Weagle takes over the leadoff spot for Kelly Middaugh, whose team split in March.
TEAM JACOBS
Line up: Brad Jacobs, Marc Kennedy, Brett Gallant, Ben Hebert
Detail: Jacobs and former teammates of Brendan Bottcher established a strong skating scene in Alberta. All four have won medals at the Winter Olympics, with Jacobs edging out Canada for gold in 2014, and have multiple Brier and world championships under his belt. They will retain a qualifying spot ahead of next season's Brier based on points.
SLUCHINSKI TEAM
Line up: Aaron Sluchinski, Jeremy Harty, Kyle Doering, Dylan Webster
Detail: Defending men's champion Alberta needs a new second after Kerr Drummond stepped back while Doering is looking for a new team now that Team Sturmay has disbanded. Doering, from Winnipeg, was recently an alternate for Brad Gushue's Team Canada at the world men's curling championship and won a silver medal.
TEAM CARRUTHER
Detail: Defending men's champion Manitoba announced skip Brad Jacobs has left the team. With Jacobs joining former teammates Brendan Bottcher, Reid Carruthers, Derek Samagalski and Connor Njegovan are now exploring their options.
BOTCHER GROUP
Detail: Brendan Bottcher's teammates – Marc Kennedy, Brett Gallant and Ben Hebert – have announced that they have parted ways with the skip and are going in a different direction. The trio from Alberta have chosen Brad Jacobs as their new man, and Bottcher has yet to announce his new plans.
EPPING TEAM
Line up: John Epping, Jacob Horgan, Tanner Horgan, Ian McMillan
Detail: Epping, who won three Grand Slam titles as a skip, disbanded his Toronto-based team and aligned with the Horgan brothers and McMillan, who played in Northern Ontario last season.
CAMERA TEAM
Detail: The Winnipeg-based rink has announced third Meghan Walter will withdraw from curling to focus on her studies while skipping Kate Cameron, second Taylor McDonald and lead Mackenzie Elias are looking for new teammates. Team Cameron won the bronze medal at this season's Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
TEAM CAMPBELL
Line up: Cast: Jolene Campbell, Abby Ackland, Rachel Erickson, Dayna Demmans
Detail: Moving from Manitoba to Saskatchewan, Team Campbell will now have Dayna Demmans at the helm, replacing Sara Oliver. Campbell and Demmans previously played together but skipped Robyn Silvernagle and Kristen Streifel.
TEAM THEVENOT
Line up: Ashley Thevenot, Brittany Tran, Taylor Stremick, Kaylin Skinner
Detail: New Thevenot team published on Facebook Tran's addition at number three. Tran previously played with Team Skrlik and competed in three Scotties of Hearts tournaments. Thevenot has moved to skip the reigning Saskatchewan women's championship as Skylar Ackerman is taking a break from curling to continue studying health care.
BROWN TEAM
Line up: Actors: Corryn Brown, Erin Pincott, Sarah Koltun, Samantha Fisher
Detail: Koltun, a nine-time Scotties Tournament of Hearts participant, finished in second place following the departure of Jennifer Armstrong. Brown from BC missed out on a Wildcard berth in the Scotties this season after finishing runner-up to Team Grandy in the provincial matches.
TEAM SKRLIK
Line up: Kayla Skrlik, Margot Flemming, Geri-Lynn Ramsay, Ashton Skrlik
Detail: With third Brittany Tran moving on, the Calgary-based club has added Flemming, formerly of Kerry Galusha's team in the Northwest Territories. Skrlik represented Alberta at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in 2023 and finished second to Selena Sturmay in provincial matches this season.
ASSELIN TEAM
Line up: Felix Asselin, Jean-Michel Menard, Martin Crete, Jean-Francois Trepanier
Detail: Former team skip Menard returned to men's curling joining Team Asselin in third place. The 48-year-old Menard has competed in the Brier 11 times and won the Canadian championship in 2006 along with a silver medal at the world championships. Crete dropped to second place when the team parted ways with Emile Asselin, Felix's brother.
