TCF Australia CEO to hold export workshops at Global Sourcing Expo

Carol Hanlon, CEO of TCF Australia and BEC National, will host two free seminars at the Global Sourcing Expo in Sydney next month. The seminars are intended to provide guidance to small businesses in the fashion, textile, and related industries on import and export. The workshop will take place on 12 and 13 July at the International Convention Center.
The workshops will take place at the International Convention Center in Sydney on 12 and 13 July 2023. The theme of the seminar is Introduction to Import and Export and Import and Export for Small Business.
Introduction to Import & Export will be held on Wednesday, July 12th from 9:30am-11am. It will detail the basic steps to reduce one’s business risk and cover topics such as Research, Contracts, Costs, Incoterms, Intellectual Property and Export Market Development Finance export (EMDG).
Small Business Import and Export Guide Workshop will be held on Thursday, July 13 from 9:30-11 am. It will explain how one should develop a success plan for global trading and cover topics such as Logistics, Finance, Forex, EFA Loans, Risk and EMDG.
Australian business owners and managers in these industries can benefit from a wide range of free support provided by TCF Australia Export and the BEC National Export Training & Mentoring Project.
“Support includes one-on-one consultations, helpline support, webinars, and export preparation forums. In addition, participants can gain knowledge on the best way to prepare their application for the Austrade EMDG program,” explains Hanlon.
EMDG Program approved applicants can access up to $700,000 over eight years to support various aspects of global marketing and expansion.
Global Sourcing Expos Sydney and Melbourne provide a dedicated exhibition platform to connect global manufacturers, manufacturers, service providers and fashion brands with commercial buyers, retailers and industry experts from Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
The Sydney Show will take place from 11-13 July 2023 at the International Convention Center (ICC) in Sydney. The Melbourne Show, on the other hand, is scheduled from 21 to 23 November and will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
