Tesla Model Y 2024 has reduced prices in Australia again
Tesla has once again reduced the price of its best-selling product Model Y Electric SUVs.
The range now starts at $60,900 before on-road costs give Model Y rear-wheel drive (RWD), $3000 off the higher price announced just 19 days ago for Australia – and is $4,500 off its price earlier this month.
Long-range AWD is available now $69,900 before on-roadsalso down $3000 since last update (and $8500 over the month), while Performance AWD remains Sticker price $82,900.
Highlights of the Tesla Model Y's changes for 2024 are a new black 'Gemini' wheel cover design for the base and Long Range variants, along with three new optional exterior colors.
Australia will miss most of the opportunities Update for Model Y distributed by China – despite being manufactured at the same factory in Shanghai – such as a larger driving range, RGB interior ambient lighting and textile materials on the dashboard.
ONE Full updates for Tesla Model Y codenamed Juniper is said to launch next year, bringing upgrades similar to the recent Model 3 Highland facelift.
If you order a Model Y today, Tesla says you can expect delivery between April and June 2024.
The Tesla Model Y is the best-selling electric vehicle in Australia to date, with 6835 units delivered according to VFACTS data compiled by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI). It precedes the Model 3 sedan.
