Tesla CEO Elon Musk is still touting the benefits of Full Self-Driving (FSD) and announced the latest beta software expansion to 100,000 cars earlier this month on Twitter. He claims that the new update will be able to “deal with roads without map data” and that “within a few months, FSD will be able to drive to a GPS point with zero map data.”

The Autopilot investigation is separate from another recent move by the NHTSA to request more information from Tesla about “virtual brake” caused by the company’s automatic emergency braking (AEB) system.
