The Monomoy girl brought Colt into mischief
Champion twice single girl abandoned his first pony, according to Ned Toffey, general manager of Spendthrift ranch, who announced the news to FanDuel TV’s Gabby Gaudet on February 18 at Fair Grounds Racecourse & Slots.
Toffey said: “Yesterday morning at the ranch in Spendthrift, Monomoy Girl gave birth to her first pony, an Into Mischief pony. “It’s been a huge event and we’re very excited about it. So far, she’s been a great mom with great maternal instincts and doing everything right… She’s going to be greatly appreciated. like returning to Into Mischief later this year.”

Monomoy Girl, the 8-year-old daughter of French fries , retired in 2021 with a 14-3-0 record in 17 starts, including wins at the 2018 Kentucky Oaks (G1) and 2018-20 editions of the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1). She won Eclipse Award titles as the 3-year-old chubby champion in 2018 and the older female champion in 2020.
Bred in Kentucky by FPF and Highfield Ranch, Monomoy Girl was purchased $100,000 by BSW dealer Bloodstock/Liz Crow from Gainesway shipment for Keeneland’s September 2016 Annual Sale. She has been campaigned for four seasons by Brad Cox and started her career for Michael Dubb and Madaket Stables, with The Elkstone Group and Bethlehem Stables joining soon. Spendthrift raised $9.5 million for the chestnut mare at the November Sale, Fasig-Tipton’s mare stock sale, in 2020. She has had two startups. for Spendthrift, MyRacehorse Stable and Madaket before retiring.
Four-times leading the list of general gentlemen in North America, Into Mischief is topping the 2023 season with an advertised fee of $250,000.
