The second step to participating in horse country tours
Horse Country, which connects guests with tours that provide a behind-the-scenes look at Kentucky’s horse industry, is forming a new partnership with the nation’s premier equine adoption program Second Stride, the organization said in a statement Friday afternoon.
The Second Step tour will be offered six days a week, starting July 10, with both public and private options. Visitors will learn about the retraining and resettlement process, and meet current practitioners, as well as interact with the Purebred ambassadors residing on the farm.
“We are delighted that Second Stride joins Horse Country and begins offering tours this month,” said Hallie Hardy, CEO of Horse Country. “Our member farms and supporting businesses, like Second Stride, are dedicated to connecting people with the horses, land, and people of Kentucky’s Horse Country.”
Second Stride Founder and CEO Kim Smith said: “Second Stride is excited to partner with Horse Country to expand our educational reach to the community and beyond. “The Chorleywood site is dedicated to partner engagement and outreach and safely transferring the state symbol, Purebred, to a new beginning.”
Sightseeing tours are possible book online or by calling Horse Country at (859) 963-1004. A kick-off is scheduled at Prospect Farms, Kentucky on Monday, July 17, and those interested in attending can email [email protected] for more information.
