Tomorrow’s Children’s Launch can showcase an island of your creativity through a new contest
Last November, Q-Games announced that their closed co-op multiplayer game The Tomorrow Children would rise from the grave. We still don’t know when players will be able to continue building islands as disturbing doll-like characters, but players have a chance to add something new to the experience thanks to a new contest. .
The Q-Games competition invites players to design an island of their own from scratch. You see, The Tomorrow Children is all about working alongside players to rebuild the world, known as The Void, after a new Soviet experiment went wrong. Landmasses come in the form of islands and, to boost the game’s spirit of contribution, one of these can be customized by you.
No game development experience required. If you have imagination and some rich artistic technique, you are as qualified as any other participant. Your idea can be a drawing, a 3D model or any representation you like. There are some rules to keep in mind, you can Read it in full here. The main stipulations are that the winners will not be paid for this and they will waive claims to any intellectual rights created by them. However, the winner will be included in the game credits. It probably goes without saying that designs that contain elements of plagiarism or are overly violent and/or sexual will be disqualified.
You can submit entries starting today by going to contest website. Submissions will close on February 1, and Q-Games will announce the winners on July 15. Given that timeframe, it’s likely The Tomorrow Children won’t relaunch in the first half of this year. We’ll have to see if it reappears before the end of 2022 and if it remains a PlayStation exclusive once Q-Games has regained the rights.
