Trump Dangles Pardons for Jan. 6 Rioters if He Wins in 2024
Donald Trump pledged to pardon the Capitol rioters on January 6 if he won the White House back in 2024.
The announcement came during a lengthy speech Saturday night to a crowd of supporters in Conroe, Texas.
“If I run [in 2024] and I win, we will treat those people fairly from January 6, we will treat them fairly, and if pardon is requested, we will pardon them because they are being abused. unfair treatment,” Trump declared.
The twice-impeached former president has resisted the House Select Committee tasked with investigating the developments of that dark winter day.
“This has not happened with all the other atrocities that have taken place recently. Nothing like this happened. What that ‘unelected’ committee is doing and what people are doing running those prisons, it’s a disgrace,” Trump told the crowd. “It’s a disgrace.”
Among those currently behind bars for their actions during the Capitol storm include Edward Jacob Langa 25-year-old man from upstate New York who is accused of assaulting a policeman holding sticks. Ryan Samsel, a 38-year-old Pennsylvania man, charged with assaulting and neglecting a Capitol police officer with a concussion.
Countless other rioters in the Capitol joined the violence on January 6, causing 139 policemen to be assaulted.

“We will treat them fairly, and we will take care of the people of this country,” Trump continued, “All the people of this country.”
The right was quick to applaud Trump’s pledge to pardon.
