Akhilesh Yadav is a four-time congressman but has never run for state elections

Samajwadi Party head Akhilesh Yadav – who this month said he would not stand in the Uttar Pradesh Council elections next year – appeared to be leaving the door on Wednesday, telling NDTV he would only do so. if the party wants”. His own priority, he said, was to see the ruling BJP “wiped out”.

Akhilesh Yadav – a three-time MP for the Kannauj seat – ran for and won the Azamgarh seat in 2019. He has never run for a state election; he participated in the 2012 and 2017 Congressional opinion polls.
However, he led the Samajwadi Party to a clear victory in 2012.
Before the 2022 election, the former UP Minister – who was leave the congress – is working with regional parties to implement BJP. His new allies include Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj led by OP Rajbhar; Mr. Rajbhar was part of the government of Minister Yogi Adityanath for two years.
In Ghazipur, Mr. Yadav told NDTV that the BJP would overpay the government of Premier Yogi Adityanath. He pointed to the funeral of Hathras, captured farmers in Lakhimpur, and allegedly died in custody in Kasganj as examples that might motivate voters to reject the party.
Mr Yadav also hit back at claims that if the Samajwadi Party is elected it will be the return of “goonda rajHe pointed out that Yogi Adityanath had many lawsuits against him.
“BJP doesn’t know the Minister is walking (a glimpse of Adityanath following PM Modi’s car after they opened the Purvanchal highway) … how many cases does he have?”
The Samajwadi Party chief then stroked Yogi Adityanath a second time, asking “have any other Chiefs withdrawn the lawsuit against him?” He mentioned how the UP government handled thousands of cases against politicians, including those against Yogi Adityanath, in 2017.
“This Purvanchal (highway) … they opened the door for the BJP. We will close it now,” he said, reactivating boom between him and the BJP over credit for the highway.
Uttar Pradesh votes for a new government next year and the polls in the country’s most populous state are seen by many as the companion for the national election.
With the Lok Sabha polls set to take place in 2024, the BJP will want to not only keep power in the UP but also do so with commanding duties to cement its advantage after multiple electoral defeats. elected to the National Assembly from April to May.
