Wait, what? Street vendors in Delhi are selling sweet corn Masala chocolate and the Internet is confused

We are all familiar with India’s love of street food. It doesn’t matter what part of the country we can be in; In every corner, we can see street vendors selling delicious street food. While we are all familiar with ethnic favorites – gol gappe, dahi vada and more – there are some street vendors who have decided to stand out from the crowd by adding a A little twist on these street style delights. We came across an internet video where a street vendor gave his personal twist on corn on the cob, aka “Makke ka bhutta”. Instead of seasoning the corn with chaat masala and butter, the vendor took the bold step of topping the corn with small chocolate chips. Don’t believe us? Watch:

In the video, the vendor generously spreads butter over the sweet corn. Then he mixed it with chocolate sauce. Then he covered it with cream and added spices to the cob. Finally, he garnished the corn with lime juice, then slid the corn up and down the plate to let the chocolate and cream sauce mix with the lime juice and seasoning.

Posted by @ankaitluthra, the video has garnered 1.4 million views and over 33k likes. This chocolate corn masala dish has confused the Internet. To combine sweet ingredients with chocolate and ice cream with salty ingredients like lemonade and condiments makes no sense to the viewer!

We all love the classic corn, seasoned with chaat masala, salt, red chili powder and lemon. That’s why this quirky corn is so hard for us to digest. Although social media describes this cob as a bit strange, there are still some people who enjoy taking up the challenge to taste this dish.
