Watch: This unique Besan-Sooji Paratha is spicy and ideal for quick meals
Paratha is possibly one of the most popular foods in India. It is widely consumed across the country and finds many different unique variations. In Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and surrounding areas you get simple paratha, lachcha paratha, stuffed paratha et al. While Malabar parotta is popular in the Southern region. That’s not all. We also do variation tests with the paratha recipe for extra uniqueness on the plate. There’s rice paratha (made with leftover rice), sambar dal paratha (made with sambar dal) and the list goes on. Another innovative recipe we’ve been looking at recently is besan-sooji paratha.
As the name suggests, the dish consists of besan and sooji, along with atta and some condiments. The paratha is then kneaded into a soft dough and baked until it becomes crispy. And of course, add buttermilk to make the paratha soft from the inside. It’s so delicious that you don’t need any sabzi on the side. Just pair it with aachar or dahi and enjoy. It also makes for a perfect and super quick meal any time of day. What are you waiting for? Try this today and make your weekday cooking super easy.
