In 2011’s Dead Island, weapon durability was a big part of the experience, and that feature will return in Dead Island 2 when it arrives on PlayStation and Xbox, as well as PC. on April 28. Honestly, there was never a time when I thought too much about the durability of a weapon. Combat is frenetic, fast-paced and chaotic. When I’m killing a horde of zombies and one weapon breaks, I’ll switch to another weapon via my sizable weapon wheel without giving it much thought about the weapon being no longer viable because of its rigor. its durability.
Sure, there are times when one of my favorites is basically unusable because its durability has run out, but I almost always have a second favorite on hand. I imagine it would be easy to attach a weapon to Dead Island 2 – I especially love the Slaughtering Cremation Mill and the Advanced Impact Enhancement Hammer – but in just eight hours of gameplay I could run into over 100 others. If one of your weapons breaks, a new favorite probably won’t be too far away from you.
