Like previous weeks, we have tons of new games to try and even more great games to catch up on. This week has seen the premieres of the wildly glamorous Zelda and the soul-like Ao Dai, and the no-nonsense yet captivating Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, and both well-suited to spending time for this weekend. Will Game informant Will staff spend the weekend uncovering Finji’s new secret lore or maybe a known legend from Square Enix that has just been retold? Read on to find out…
Andrew Reiner – I’m paying close attention to my review for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands (both the review and the game coming out next week) and also hoping to see the Fortnite sequel, which launches on Sunday. I also have a few comic books to read before I record the From Panel to Podcast next week. For those looking for something shocking to read, check out the first issue of Massacre. This is as dark as Marvel.
Jill Grodt – I’m super excited for everyone to join Tunic this weekend. It’s a game that needs to be talked about, and in doing the review I had to keep things quiet for too long! Currently, I’m working on my NG+ run and still discovering new elements. However, the Elden Ring is calling to me, and it feels like forever since I’ve spent any real time with it. So it looks like this weekend is all about secrets, discoveries and fights for me!
Wesley LeBlanc – This weekend is a weekend off for me, I hope. I have a lot of things that I want to do well like Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Tunic, etc. However, I say “I hope” because the Elden Ring persists and consumes all my waking thoughts. . Not sure when that will go away but I’m not complaining. Elsewhere, I’m doing an escape this weekend with friends and I can’t wait for that. Oh, and I’m also eating some Italian food, which is always a great thing.
Dan Tack – Stranger of Paradise
Kristin Williams – I’ve been slowly working on “Magic Puzzle” for the last few weeks with my husband, so was hoping for some more pieces to that. I was told there was a surprise at the end, so I was curious to see how it worked out since everyone who finished one of these (look at you, Reiner and Margaret) teased about it. their neatness. So far it’s been interesting to see the Easter eggs hidden in the artwork and try to figure out what the hell is going on and why the puzzle has more edges than usual.
Also, I will probably play some more Pokémon Legends: Arceus. I started it until I finished Horizon and so I finally entered that world. I need to catch a bunch of Eevee!
Marcus Stewart – I’m the pet sitting at my parents’ house this weekend, but I’ve packed my PlayStation 5. When I’m not busy keeping their two dogs alive and entertained, I’ll continue my trip. via the Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West. I’m still a long way off, and I’m hoping to finish Aloy’s journey soon so I can dive headfirst into Tunic.
John Carson – Honestly, I haven’t really thought about what I’m going to do this weekend. I had Elden Ring on the burner while other work-related games were played, but my adventures in Lands Between will likely be back on the menu. I also started Tunic the night before, and it’s been great so far. Everything about the way it conveys information is amazing and I can’t wait to see more. I can see myself spending a lot of time digging deeper into either or both. However, in the end here it’s always above freezing for the first time, so maybe I should try going outside?
