Via Jake Tiernan: Spencer Oliver says Dillian Whyte needs to accept an offer from Anthony Joshua and his supporters for a bout on August 12 as he won’t earn the same amount elsewhere in the final stages of career.
Whyte (28-3, 19 KOs) chose not to accept the offer made by Joshua because he was unhappy with the rematch clause included in his contract.
Dillian has faith that if he beats Joshua, he can swap places for him to fight Deontay Wilder in Saudi Arabia in December and be paid huge sums.
Oliver said he spoke to Skill Challenge’s Amer Abdulla, and he told him they wanted Joshua for December, even if he lost the friendly on August 12.
This means Whyte has no hope of fighting in December because the Saudis don’t want him. They want Joshua.

“’If Anthony Joshua goes and is defeated, we still want to fight him and Deontay Wilder. We still think it’s a big deal,'” Oliver said.
Dillian can make good money fighting Joshua
Dillian needs to not fight [with Joshua]. If you win, there’s a rematch clause in there, and in return you get more money,” Oliver said. “So I think from a business standpoint, in the twilight of his career, that’s what I wanted and saw him do.
“I like Dillian Whyte, and I think he’s a great ambassador for the sport, and I’d love to see him get paid well, and I think that’s the biggest paycheck for him right now. is Anthony Joshua, and Joshua needs that fight before going to Saudi and boxing Deontay Wilder.
“It is important that Joshua is eliminated again because the performance we saw against Jermaine Franklin was not enough. we didn’t see him
aggressive enough. We didn’t see him clustering his photos enough, and we didn’t see phase one or two for what he needed.
“He needs that for his own confidence. He lacks confidence in his abilities right now, so he needs another fight. So I hope they get through that fight for the sake of both of them,” Spencer said.
Joshua needs a confidence boost
“I know Anthony Joshua wants to fight. He wants to fight again on August 12, but for the reasons I just mentioned, he needs to be out again,” Oliver said. “His lack of positivity is not good for him. “Joshua wants to fight on August 12th. That’s the date already recorded. I don’t know who the opponent is, but I hope he is Dillian Whyte. I hope Dillian will say, ‘You know what? Let’s look at this. Have enough money.’
“The money that he’s going to make from that game, he’s not going to get anywhere else, I don’t think so. If he has a rematch, if he beats Anthony Joshua, that rematch is definitely worth more.
