Dying Light 2 has a one day patch, Techland urges those with early retail copies to wait for it before playing
After many years of waiting, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is almost out and in the hands of players. In fact, it was already in the hands of several players who received early retail copies of the zombie parkour sequel.
If you’re one of those people, Techland really wants you to resist the urge and wait until the game’s proper release on February 4th to play the game. That’s because having the Day One patch will make the experience better.
That being said, we kindly suggest you wait until February 4th as by that time you will also have access to all the improvements and fixes we have rolled out in round last week and will introduce with patch day 1. That’s the way to experience Dying Light 2 the way it is played.

As you can see, Techland is really hoping that players who have a copy of the game wait until a patch is released on Friday. The studio didn’t expand on what that day a patch included, in addition to the improvements and fixes made since Dying Light 2 went gold two months agobut if you are looking for the best possible experience, it seems that waiting for that patch is the way to go.
While waiting for that day a patch, read about Techland’s Ambitious 5-Year Roadmap for Dying Light 2 DLC and then check different resolution and performance modes in the game. Read about how Dying Light 2 main story takes about 20 hours to complete (although doing everything in the game will take up to 500 hours).
