Island Records Promotes Steven Rowen to SVP, Head of International Marketing
Steven Rowen has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Head of International Marketing at Island Profile.
Rowen will continue to lead global marketing strategies on Island’s roster that includes Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato, The Killers, Lauren Spencer Smith and more. Based in New York, he will report directly to Alexander.

Rowen started her music career at UMG in 2008, as Coordinator in the Artist Development Division of the former Island Def Jam (IDJ).
He joined the Faculty of International in 2012 and was eventually promoted to Vice President, International Marketing.
Work on three groups of labels with Island, Def Jam and Republic Profile, Rowen leads global campaigns for Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato, Post Malone, The Killers, Pusha T, Bon Jovi and more. In 2021, he officially started working solely for Island as the Director of International Marketing.
Rowen’s promotion to Senior Vice President before that was Appointment of Nick Barr to the position of Vice President, A&R and Creative Strategy at Island Records in May 2022.
Earlier this year in April, Island Records also advertised Jackie Winkler to Vice President of A&R.Worldwide music business
