John Oliver Tears Into New Warner Bros. Discovery Bosses for ‘Burning Down Network’
Last week, Warner Bros. Discovery announced during its Q2 earnings call that it not only plans to merge HBO Max and Discovery+ into a single streaming platform, but also kill some projects to clear tax debt, presumably to make up for its low earnings per share. A regulatory filing clarified the total amount: an $825 million write-down.
Among the projects that received rigor was $90 million Bat girl the movie was well produced and the anime Scoob !: Holiday Haunting, both of which are set to premiere on HBO Max. Warner Bros. Discovery also closed a Wonder Twins movies, some shows at TBS and TNT (eg: Chad, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, The last OGand Snowpiercer), and of course, CNN+.
