Never-before-seen photos of Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor from Brahmastra set in “Lightning Time”

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra It is one of the most awaited and discussed movies in recent times. The movie features real-life lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the main roles has been delayed several times due to the sheer size of the project as well as the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. And fans have been eagerly waiting for any images or updates about the superhero movie. Now, director Ayan Mukerji has shared a series of unseen photos captioned, “Time flies!” on Instagram, delighting his fans.
The stills feature the director interacting with his lead, Ranbir Kapoor in what appears to be a Durga puja spoiler. The huge set is filled with cast members and crew members busy with work. We also see pictures of the actors in front of the green screen and this is not surprising as Brahmastra supposed to be a graphic heavy movie.
In a still scene, Ayan Mukerji is seen guiding veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor with snow-capped mountains in the background. Why is the director sharing these images now? Well, Ayan Mukerji suggested it to us in the caption with the hashtags, “step out of the cocoon” and “the right time”.
Reacting to the post, Arjun Kapoor joked, “The important thing is…” Ayan Mukerji’s cousin, actress Tanishaa Mukerji, responded with a heart-eye emoji.
The fans on their side are also happy to see Ayan Mukerji is back on Instagram. The director’s last post available on the timeline was shared in May 2019. The post in question is also related to Brahmastra and, in fact, a video montage of the team’s final days of shooting in Varanasi. Sharing the clip, Ayan Mukerji wrote, “A few days ago (Pardon our wonderful editor Praks, who should really edit the actual movie instead…).”
Earlier, Ayan Mukerji also shared a video of Ranbir Kapoor preparing for the role of Shiva. An excerpt from the caption reads: “Currently, some random moments from our weekend session with Ido (the Portal),” who the director describes as one of the “pluss” their most special collaborators on this journey.”
Brahmastra, was envisioned as a trilogy, produced by Karan Johar and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni in important roles, other than Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Brahmastra is Ayan Mukerji’s third movie after Wake up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, both starring Ranbir Kapoor.
