New Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Trailer Gives A Closer Look At Venom
Today at San Diego Comic Con, we got to see a brand new trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 focusing on our first insight into Venom, as well as introducing Harry Osborn, Mister Negative, etc.
The trailer opens up to a conversation between Peter Parker and Harry Osborn, the latter talking about being given a second chance and how Peter will “heal the world”. Peter then introduces Harry to a number of friends, including Mary Jane and Miles Morales, who question whether Peter has time to “tutor” (you know, Spider-Man) when he gets a new job as a teacher.
From there, we see the Kraven Hunter as he chases Spider-Man around New York, and Miles confronts Mister Negative, who we know from the previous games killed his father. And then there’s the Venom, the symbiote, and its growing negative effects on Peter Parker and his relationships with friends and family (which we also heard about in the panel today). We then hear Venom’s voice: “We will heal the world,” echoing Harry’s words from the beginning of the trailer. Could Harry Osborn be Venom’s host in this story?
A post on the PlayStation blog explains a bit more about some of this, talking about how Miles is trying to apply to colleges but is too focused on being Spider-Man to get it done, and Peter is short on cash to pay for Aunt May’s house. And as we heard at the conferenceJ. Jonah Jameson has returned to the Daily Bugle and commands around MJ.
Today’s dashboard reveals the existence of a as well as a brand new Spider-Man 2 themed PS5 and DualSense controller pack, will be pre-ordered next week. You can also read about everything else coming from Comic-Con in roundup of everything announced.
