Racing is all about sport is teaming up once again with Stonewall’s Rainbow Rope for the second year to show support for the LGBT+ community in motorsport. Started by Great British Racing in 2020 with support from the sport’s Racing with Pride network, Racing is Everything’s Sport aims to encourage and welcome LGBT+ participation in equestrian sport, bringing racing community together to become the champion for lesbian, gay, bi and transgender. Everyone. The Stonewall Rainbow Laces campaign, Lace Up and Speak Up, will run from November 25 to December 25. 12. Jockey Jack Duern (pronoun: he/he) said, “Car racing has definitely come a long way since I came out in 2013. I’m proud to be a public gay racing runner. first race in Europe, and is also proud of the racing community for accepting me for who I am and welcoming me back to the sport. I am determined to use my platform and as an ambassador for Racing With Pride, to show other LGBT+ people, both inside and outside of racing, that they are not alone and that racing is the sport of all everyone.
“I hope that by talking to Josie about my experience on the pitch, as well as the importance of having friends and colleagues support and speak for you, it will spark a conversation. in the racing community that it is all our responsibility to stand up for our friends and colleagues to show that discrimination has no place in racing. ”
Additionally, on Saturday 4 December, Racing is Everyone’s Sport will encourage and welcome LGBT+ participation in the sport through a range of activities at racetracks across the UK. on that day – Sandown Park, Aintree, Chepstow, Wolverhampton and Wetherby.
