Via Brian Webber: Roy Jones Jr says Devin Haney needs to put on George Kambosos Jr and stop him with a shot in the later rounds as he may not get a decision this Sunday in Australia.
Although Jones did not say that WBC lightweight champion Haney (27-0, 15 KOs) would be taken away by the referee in his match against Kambosos Jr. (20-0, 10 KOs) Australian-Australian in Melbourne, but it’s hard to explain it that way.
It won’t be easy for Haney to make the decision as Kambosos will have more than 50,000 fans in attendance at the Marvel Stadium battle near the palm of his hand on Sunday night, cheering for everything he does, even the things he misses.

Kambosos will fight as usual, attacking in waves, landing and moving quickly. He tried to land two or three shots and then cycled to avoid being hit. He will move around a lot if chased and then tied up. It’s ugly to look at, but it’s an effective style.

If Haney wins by knockout or a decisive 12th round, the Kambosos will have the big decision on whether to use the rematch clause. In the end, Kambosos will do because the money will be too good for him.
Kambosos won’t be able to lure popular fighters like Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis or Ryan Garcia to fight him, so he’ll make a rematch with Haney, even if he loses one way.
