About 15 to 20 people fear being trapped after a landslide at a mining site in Haryana’s Bhiwani district on Saturday. The county government has launched a rescue operation at the Dadam mining site in the Tosham block.

The workers are said to have gone to another location when the landslide took place and they were trapped in their vehicles.
Agriculture Minister JP Dalal arrived at the site to oversee the rescue operation. “Three people were saved and taken to the hospital. We are doing our best to save lives,” he said.
Mining activities have taken place on a large scale in the Dadam and Khanak Pahari mining areas after the National Green Court lifted the ban on mining in this area. The two-month ban, imposed by the green court over pollution, was lifted on Thursday and mining work was only resumed on Friday.
