Teofimo Lopez Reveals He Was Injured In Battle With Kambosos, And He Will Be In Creed III Movie Boxing News 24
Via Jeff Aaron: Teofimo Lopez says he’ll be in the Creed III movie next year when it’s released in November 2022. Undefeated lightweight champion Teofimo (16-0, 12 KOs) says he’s “Rush” when not inside the ring, make moves with his life.
In a separate overview, 24-year-old Teofimo revealed that he was IMPORTED while defending his title this Saturday night against George Kambosos Jr. (19-0, 10 KOs) at Madison Square Garden in New York. Teofimo is brag about being injured, and someone need to tell clam because he will ruin his fight.
Although Teofimo did not say what his injury was, it is believed that he injured his biceps because he was training with a towel wrapped around it.
Teofimo’s injury wasn’t bad enough for him to be withdrawn from the fight, but it was unsettling, especially for bettors who were entering the competition.
If Teofimo gets injured, we could have a longer fight. Hopefully the injury doesn’t result in Teofimo having to miss play or be withdrawn from rounds at some point on Saturday night.
You can imagine a lot of pointing fingers at Teofimo, his team, and the post-fight event promoters. Fans will be furious when Teofimo is allowed to fight a pre-existing injury.

If Teofimo loses before the movie comes out next year, it might lose some of the light on him getting a role in the movie. This could be Teofimo’s last movie if he gets beaten up by the Kambosos and his career takes a hit.
“I fought with the injured Lomachenko. I broke my wrist and completely torn the ligament in my right foot, fighting the best boxer in the world at the time,” said Teofimo.
“No fans, no audience, quiet as hell. Is there anything else you can do? We all fight painfully. I participated in this war too, but it’s part of the game, and it comes with it.
“It’s what separates the greats from the lore,” said Teofimo. “I was here fighting this injured guy too, but thinking differently,” Teofimo said proudly about his injury.
If you’re an Eddie Hearn promoter, you must be a little apprehensive to hear Teofimo brag about being injured, as if it were a badge of honor.
