Toyota Corolla facelift to launch this year – report
Australia’s best-selling passenger car looks set for an update that could help it fend off some stiff competition.
Japanese store Creative Trends report an update Toyota Corolla will be released in Japan in October 2022.
Exterior updates are said to include redesigned headlights and taillights and a refreshed grille, as well as new color options.
However, there could also be an updated instrument cluster with a larger display Creative Trends The source did not provide specifics.
Australian market Corolla currently offering a 4.2-inch instrument cluster display on the Ascent Sport and SX models and a 7.0-inch display on the top ZR.
Toyota is tipped to introduce a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster to its Harrier crossover later this year, but the extent of the Toyota range’s filtration is still unknown.
Unspecified updates will also be made to the Toyota Safety Sense suite on the Corolla.
The Corolla in the Japanese market is also expected to lose the naturally aspirated 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine to replace the 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine from the Japanese market. Yaris.
