With The Last Of Us, Pedro Pascal became the father of the Internet
Pedro Pascal is playing the smuggler father who becomes the emotionless substitute Joel Miller in HBO’s Our last and after years of playing father roles, it seems the actor is ready to truly become a father as part of his brand.
Pascal, who recently appeared at the premiere of HBO’s post-apocalyptic game adaptation of Naughty Dog, was part of an interview with Tonight’s reception earlier this week. During the interview, the actor was introduced to a edited tweet by user @merrinluvrwho called him their “great father whore.”
After reading the tweet, Pascal confirmed that this is indeed true. He was a “great, slutty dad” to all of us.
Pascal has taken on a number of fatherly roles during his time as an actor. Joel is, of course, at the front of everyone’s mind with Our last just started airing on HBO this week. But the actor is also known for playing the father in shows like Palestiniansin which he loves and protects a little Yoda gremlin, and Game of Thrones where he plays Oberyn Martell, I mean, at least a lot of kids. But over the past year or so, the actor has really promoted his father’s brand, and I’m personally here for that.

In a lie detector test interview with Vanity Fair, Pascal was asked who was the “bigger daddy” between himself and Moon Knight star Oscar Isaac. He said he was the “bigger daddy” and noted that he’s older than Isaac, but also admitted that Isaac is an actual father, which he is not.
While this is all in good fun, Pascal did also touch on the prospect of real-life fatherhood and why he likes to play dads in an interview with Wired. Pascal told the outlet that he doesn’t know if he wants to have children, but that he enjoys “being able to imagine” the role of father in roles like Joel. So it’s like he said Vanity Fair“father is a state of mind,” and to Joel, it seemed like he was just reinforcing himself with the father figure that the Internet never had.
