A major stretch of overpass in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan collapsed on Thursday as heavy rain and haze caused landslides across the state.
Video shows two vehicles being hit when the overpass plunges in; According to local reports, no casualties have been reported so far.
The flyover connects the four-lane tunnel on Highway 5 Kalka-Shimla and is often heavily trafficked. The tunnel is closed to traffic at this time.

Earlier, on Thursday, in Kullu, Chavelu Devi (55 years old) and Kritika (17 years old) were killed when their house in Khadel in Anni subdistrict was hit by debris after a landslide around 9 a.m., said Sudesh Mokhta, director of the state’s disaster management department.
In Deuthi village in the same area, 10 shops and three vehicles were swept away after a cloud of clouds and flash floods early this morning, around 7:30 a.m. An old bus stop and a panchayat building are also at risk of being washed away in the village.
The national highway to Kullu from Mandi was also blocked after a landslide near Pandoh in the morning. Traffic was redirected through Kataula.
