Kia Seltos 2023: Best-selling GT-Line
Kia Australia looking forward to its top updated version Seltos crossover became the best-selling model, with 35% of next year’s approximately 10,000 units being GT-Line models worth more than $40,000.
Kia Australia’s executive team says it expects to sell around 10,000 new Seltos in calendar year 2023, breaking the forecast sales split between product lines.
Leading the pack are the GT-Line 1.6T AWD and Sport 2.0 FWD with 25% (approximately 2500 units) each, followed by the Sport+ 1.6T AWD and S 2.0 FWD with 15% (approximately 1500 units) each.
The new GT-Line 2.0 FWD is expected to account for 10% (about 1000 units) of next year’s total sales, as is the Sport+ 2.0 FWD.
Prices for Kia Seltos GT-Line 2023 start at $41,500 plus on-road costs for 2.0 FWD and $44,900 before circulation for 1.6T AWD. Kia Australia also hit the market with a drive-by price $44,590 and $47,690 corresponding.
An annual volume of around 10,000 units will be a slight improvement this year. As of October 31, Kia has registered 7803 units of Seltos with limited supply this year, an increase of 5.2% compared to the same period in 2021.
With a monthly average of 780.3 units based on the above figure, that equates to sales of 9363 units this year. Should Kia meet its 10,000-unit plan, which equates to about 830 units per month.
Since the beginning of the year, Kia Seltos is the fifth best-selling model in the popular small SUV segment in 2022, after The MG ZS family (16,359 units, up 10.0 percent), Mazda CX-30 (12,252 units, up 8.1%). Mitsubishi ASX (10,939 pieces, 9.5%) and related products Hyundai Kona (10,274 units, down 7.9%).
