The catalog for the Tattersalls August Sale, which takes place August 31, is now available online and can be viewed at www.tattersalls.com.
A total of 360 lots will be provided, consisting of 246 chicks and geldings in and out of training and 107 fillets in and out of training as well as six mother hens.
This year’s edition of Tattersalls August Sale has drawn shipments from many of the world’s top breeders and owners, including drafts from Godolphin and Juddmonte Farms, as well as many of the UK’s top trainers Great Britain and Ireland.
Category highlights include three-year-old Rolling The Dice (Ire) (Mehmas {Ire}), who was third in Group 2 May Hill S. at just two years old and hails from a deep Juddmonte family and winner G3 Boomerang S. by Jessica Harrington’s Real Appeal (Ger) (Sidestep {Aus}). Group 3 winner Amethyst S. Pretreville (Fr) (Acclamation {GB}) was also purchased at the Tattersalls August Sale for 95,000 gns.
Tattersalls President Edmond Mahony said, “The Tattersalls August sale was first introduced in 2020 in response to COVID-related circumstances, but enthusiasm for the sale comes from both suppliers and buyers over the past two years made it an easy decision to make it a permanent fixture. “
He added, “We are delighted to launch a portfolio of 360 lots that will attract a wide range of buyers, both locally and beyond. The slightly reduced portfolio size also means that the drop will be possible in just one day, Wednesday 31st August.”
