What do you get if you mix 160 eggs, 8kg of dark chocolate and 15kg of orange jelly? The world’s largest Jaffa Cake, of course.
Great British Bake Off winner Frances Quinn, along with the staff of McVitie, made this successful using the company’s top secret recipe.
The giant cake – and yes, Jaffa Cakes are cakes – is equivalent to 6,557 regular-sized Jaffa cakes and measures 175cm in diameter.
Ms. Quinn released the 80kg piece on the 15th anniversary of Britain’s Got Talent.

She said: “It’s been a pleasure to work with McVitie’s to beat the record I set five years ago, it’s a pleasure to celebrate Britain’s Got Talent’s 15th birthday with an iconic cake like so.
“I hope the audience watching the show at the live semi-finals will enjoy and congratulate this year’s contestants.”
Ms. Quinn, who won the fourth series of The Great British Bake Off in 2013, broke her own Guinness World Record in 2017 with the feat.
The baker worked alongside product development expert Will McMath and McVitie’s team to tackle the process, which took more than 11 hours from start to finish at McVitie’s innovative bakery in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

Jaffa cake was served to guests and crew at the Britain’s Got Talent live semi-final outside the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, west London, in 300 servings.
David Titman, marketing director at McVitie’s, added: “Frances wowed us on The Great British Bake Off in 2013 and we’ve been looking forward to working with her ever since to create Create a giant Jaffa cake using our secret but famous McVitie recipe.”
