Activision Blizzard is sending anti-union emails ahead of Raven software vote
Activision Blizzard is actively discouraging Raven Software QA employees from voting in favor of the merger, ahead of an ongoing election with a May 20 deadline.
According to a Washington Post newspaperRaven management sent messages to staff and held town hall meetings about the election, including an April 26 town hall where employees were told the merger would may harm game development and affect promotions or benefits.
Following that event, an email is said to have been sent to employees with an attached image that read “Please vote no”.
National Labor Relations Board passed the union vote at the end of April, after a extend back and forth between QA workers and management began last year after Activision Blizard unexpectedly laid off about a dozen QA contractors.
After an act of protest, Raven Software moved to incorporate, filing with the NLRB when Activision Blizzard do not voluntarily recognize their union before the specified deadline. Ballots were sent to qualified QA officers with a deadline of May 20 and a scheduled vote count of May 23 via videoconference.
